I knew there was more to my period and wombs than meets the eye. Many years ago I began my period empowerment journey. I started playing with my menstrual blood, painting with it, pouring it over my body, dancing with it, gazing at it. I started to see its beauty, and its POWER.
I started to learn more and more about the benefits of rest and recharging, about the true nature of my cyclical body and about the benefits of cyclical living. I started to peel back the layers of patriarchal conditioning that had been forced upon me. I started to understand we are all being played.
As a cyclical being we aren't designed to hustle and grind 9-5, 5 days a week. In between the fast-paced lifestyle (if that’s how you choose to live) there must be quiet and rest. Because how can any human sustain a life without frequent periods of rest and recharge.
